2009 taxi driver murderClifton Graham on Wednesday appeared before Justice Roxanne George in the High Court for the 2009 killing of taxi driver Rolston Bernard Henry. Graham, who was clad in a white shirt, is being represented by Defence Counsel Maxwell McKay.Deceased taxi driver Rolston Henry was found bound and gagged at Onion Field, LBI with his throat slashedAt the hearing, witnesses testified in a voir dire trial (trial within a trial). This meant that there were preliminary examinations of witnesses. As such, jurors were excused and the tendered statements may be considered material evidence.Graham is accused of killing the taxi driver between May 2 and May 3, 2009 at La Bonne Intention (LBI), East Coast Demerara (ECD). It was reported that the taxi driver’s body was discovered, bound and gagged, with the throat slashed, and several stab wounds and marks of violence at Onion Field, LBI.Henry’s taxi, PKK 9036, was later found at a trench in Plaisance, ECD, with its amplifier ripped out. The post-mortem report had revealed that the taxi operator died of haemorrhaging and shock due to incised wounds.The State is being represented by Prosecutors Tuanna Hardy and Narissa Leander.
