The order includes four Super Post Panamax STS (Ship-to-Shore) cranes and three RTG (Rubber Tired Gantry) cranes. These will be the biggest Konecranes STS cranes ever built. Sharecenter_img LocalNewsRegional Below average 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season predicted by: By: Cecil P ShillingfordDisaster Risk Management Specialist/Consultant – April 10, 2015 Share The Caribbean Region can breathe a little easier as we approach the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season. The Hurricane Season starts on June 1 and ends on November 30.The 2015 predictions released on April 9 by Drs. William Gray and Phillip Klotzbach indicates that we can expect a below average season with seven (7) named storms, three (3) Hurricanes and one (1) major Hurricane of Categories 3, 4 or 5.The release from the renowned scientists states, “We anticipate that the 2015 Atlantic basin hurricane season will be one of the least active seasons since the middle of the 20th century”.It continued, “It appears quite likely that an El Niño of at least moderate strength will develop this summer and fall and the tropical and subtropical Atlantic are also quite cool at present”. According to the Gray/Klotzbach prediction, we can anticipate a below-average probability for major hurricanes making landfall along the United States coastline and in the Caribbean. Despite the forecast for below-average activity, residents are reminded that it only takes one hurricane making landfall to make it an active season for them. Residents are therefore advised to prepare the same for every season, regardless of how much activity is predicted. The 2015 Hurricane names are Ana, Bill, Claudette, Danny, Erika, Fred, Grace, Henri, Ida, Joaquin, Kate, Larry, Mindy, Nicholas, Odette, Peter, Rose, Sam, Teresa, Victor, WandaThe team did not release their predictions at the Hurricane Conference indicating that they wanted to factor in data obtained during the month of March in their analysis. The 2015 Hurricane Conference can be described as having been very successful. Aiken holds chance to reach rare company on Sunday

first_imgA forgettable 2015 season for the Ravens has been anything but that for wide receiver Kamar Aiken. In a starting offense that’s lost six Week 1 starters and first-round receiver Breshad Perriman to season-ending injuries, Aiken has quietly produced one of the better receiving seasons in franchise history. And with 132 receiving yards in Sunday’s season finale against Cincinnati, the 26-year-old Aiken would produce the 12th 1,000-yard receiving season in the 20-year history of the franchise.Only six Ravens players — Derrick Mason (four times), Qadry Ismail (twice), Derrick Alexander (twice), Steve Smith, Torrey Smith, and Michael Jackson — have earned the achievement in an underwhelming history for the Ravens at the receiver position. Even if Aiken became the last man standing to which quarterbacks could confidently throw — four different signal-callers have started over the last six games — he’s firmly established himself as a legitimate possession receiver with 51 receptions for 597 yards and three touchdowns over his last eight games. After being held without a catch — the only time all season — against the Bengals in Week 3, the 6-foot-2 receiver would like nothing more than to have the career-best performance needed to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark.“It’d be big just to get it because you never know when you’re going to get another chance to get that close,” Aiken said. “Tomorrow’s not promised; that next down isn’t promised, so it’d be big from that standpoint. I’m going to do everything I can to possibly get it if I can, and that’s all I can do about it.”In a season lacking continuity on the offensive side of the ball due to injuries, Aiken can set a franchise record if he can make five catches on Sunday, which would give him nine consecutive games reaching that plateau. He’s currently tied with Mason, who caught at least five passes in eight straight contests in 2007.With the Ravens lacking another established receiver down the stretch, Aiken has likely seen more targets than he would have in a more prolific offense, but he’s caught 61.4 percent of his 114 targets, which isn’t far behind Steve Smith’s 63 percent before his Achilles injury on Nov. 1. Unlike his veteran teammate, however, Aiken has had to adapt to playing with Matt Schaub, Jimmy Clausen, and Ryan Mallett after starting quarterback Joe Flacco was lost for the season in late November.Head coach John Harbaugh has also praised his toughness and durability as many liken Aiken’s qualities and skill set to those of Anquan Boldin, who never had more than 921 receiving yards in any of his three seasons with Baltimore.“He has been hit in the head more times probably than any receiver in the league, and it hasn’t been called,” Harbaugh said. ” He doesn’t get protected. He bounces back up and he’s back out there, and he shows up the next week. It’s just impressive what he has done this year, and I’m proud of him.”In the most frustrating season in franchise history, Harbaugh and the Ravens can certainly appreciate the example and production that Aiken has offered.last_img read more

Hawks’ Sefolosha out for the season after arrest

first_imgThabo Sefolosha has been declared out for the rest of the season after his arrest following the stabbing of fellow NBA player Chris Copeland, his girlfriend and another woman outside a New York nightclub around 4 a.m.During the melee, Sefolosha suffered a season-ending right broken fibula and ligament damage during his arrest. The injury will require surgery and make the forward miss the postseason as well.Sefolosha was arrested along with teammate Pero Antic when they allegedly refused to allow officers responding to the scene to set up a perimeter and were subsequently charged with obstruction. The two plan to fight the charges.“This is a very difficult situation for Thabo and our thoughts and support will be with him during his recovery,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said in a statement. “We know that his approach and dedication will serve him well in his rehabilitation. Our team remains focused and will be prepared as we head into the postseason.”Sefolosha and Antic were not involved in the stabbing that sent the three victims to the hospital but were charged with three misdemeanors.Officers allegedly asked Antic and Sefolosha to clear the area to establish a crime scene six times before they were arrested. The report states the two moved a couple feet away but did not clear the area. The report also states that Sefolosha then charged officers in an “aggressive manner.”“When I approached the defendant to place him under arrest for the above described conduct, I observed the defendant flail his arms, twist his body, kick his legs, and struggle against me making it difficult for me to place handcuffs on him and complete the arrest. It took four officers to place the defendant in handcuffs,” wrote Police officer Johnpaul Giancona, according to the New York Times. Safolosha is considered a valuable acquisition from the Oklahoma City Thunder, contributing 5.3 points and 4.3 rebounds off the Hawks bench.Photos: Instagramlast_img read more

Arsenal move for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez this month

Powered by Firework Arsenal are hopeful of signing Barcelona central midfielder Denis Suarez in this month’s transfer window. Unai Emery, the Gunners boss who took over the club this season has taken a liking for Suarez, who played under the Spanish coach during his time at Spanish side Sevilla from 2014-15. Advertisement Suarez returned to the Catalonian side back in 2016, prior to which, he was loaned to Sevilla in 2014 after signing for Barcelona in 2013, who made a buy back clause for the Spaniard to eventually recruit their former player back for a fee of €3.5 million. Upon his return to the La Liga giants, Suarez signed a 4-year deal, under which he still remains until 2020. However, severe lack of play time in Catalonia has marred the U-21 Spanish national team captain, as he made only 12 Liga appearances in his first season with Barca, and his play time has exponentially dwindled then onward.Despite making merely 27 appearances overall last season, in which he won a La Liga and a Copa del Rey, Suarez has failed a hold onto a starting place under Ernesto Valverde, as the 24-year old midfielder has made only 6 appearances so far, this term.Advertisement However, Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen on reuniting with his former player, for whom, a buyout clause of about £20m has been stated. Although the north London club wish to acquire the Suarez’s services only on loan, Barcelona prefer a permanent move for the midfielder. Should the case be, Suarez would become Arsenal’s first signing of this year, as they also hope to make for the deficit caused by the exit of Aaron Ramsey.Read also:-Advertisement Aaron Ramsey Juventus bound in the summer, rejects contract offer from PSG Advertisementlast_img read more
